Representative Jayapal requests over $50 million for community projects in Seattle
U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal has announced 15 community project funding requests for the 2024 Fiscal Year, amounting to over $50 million, to address food assistance, earthquake resilience, mental health crisis intervention and other issues in Seattle. This comes as Jayapal secured more than $37 million for 25 community projects in the Seattle area since the reinstatement of CPF by the Democratic House leadership in the 117th Congress.

Link Light Rail Service Disrupted in Seattle, Impacting Green Lake Commuters
Due to damage caused by street-level construction, Link light rail service will be disrupted through Seattle's Downtown Transit Tunnel for two weeks, with passengers needing to transfer at Capitol Hill or Stadium stations. Passengers traveling through the affected area, including those heading to Green Lake, should allow for additional travel time and can find alternative routes on the Sound Transit website.

Police Chase Ends in Green Lake: Seattle Neighborhood Becomes Scene of Robbery Fugitives' Escape
Two 17-year-old suspects have been arrested and a third is still at large after a robbery in Bothell led to a police chase, during which shots were fired at officers. The suspects allegedly abandoned their car in Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood and ran.
