Seattle's Central District has a new outpost of Trey Lamont's celebrated Caribbean restaurant, the Jerk Shack, which serves lunch and dinner and offers favorites like jerk smoke ribs, Cuban pork belly, and plantains. Meanwhile, Layers Sandwich Co. plans to open their flagship brick-and-mortar shop in Green Lake this summer.

West Coast Premiere of "Hometown Boy" Captivates Seattle's Green Lake Community
Seattle Public Theater recently held the West Coast debut of "Hometown Boy," a play written by Keiko Green that explores race, sexual assault, and familial loyalties. Stationed on the edge of Green Lake, the quaint SPT building was the perfect setting for the must-see production that concluded on May 28.
