The Door: Jazz, Coffee, and the Legacy of Ben Laigo in Seattle's Green Lake Scene
In the late 1950s, Ben Laigo opened The Door, one of Seattle's earliest coffeehouses. It became known for its jazz music and bohemian vibe, and played a pivotal role in establishing Seattle as a coffee mecca.
